Beaumont opens comprehensive outpatient care campus in Livonia
Livonia, Mich. April 25, 2022 – Western Wayne and southern Oakland County residents now have convenient access to Beaumont’s expert staff and high quality of care right in their community with the opening of Beaumont Outpatient Campus – Livonia.
“We are proud to offer people in western Wayne and southwest Oakland counties convenient access to Beaumont’s high-quality care,” said Nancy Susick, registered nurse, interim president, Beaumont Health. “We are thrilled to begin serving our patients in Livonia, Northville and surrounding communities closer to their homes.”
The new, 140,000-square-foot facility, opening April 27, is located on West 7 Mile Road east of Haggerty Road in Livonia and will offer the following services:
- Comprehensive emergency center, opening June 1
- Beaumont Breast Care Center, including support from a patient care coordinator for mammograms, ultrasound and biopsies
- Noninvasive cardiology services
- Pulmonary function testing
- Cancer services, including infusion
- Physical and occupational therapy
- Diagnostic imaging, including X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound
- Beaumont retail pharmacy and laboratory
- Affiliated primary and specialty care physician offices
- Joint-venture, outpatient surgery center
The Livonia campus is the latest in a growing network of Beaumont outpatient campuses that include Canton, West Bloomfield and most recently, Lenox Township. Through this network, more people in Southeast Michigan have access to Beaumont’s high-quality of care than ever before.
The outpatient emergency center on the campus, which opens June 1, provides the staffing and technology to handle emergencies, expedite care and reduce the need to travel to a hospital campus.
“The convenient outpatient concept that includes Beaumont’s top-of-the-line emergency care was designed to address the critical interests of our patient population,” said David Claeys, interim co-chief operating officer, Beaumont Health. “While Beaumont Outpatient Campus – Livonia offers many of the high-quality services of a hospital, it also offers added features and conveniences, such as spacious waiting areas, convenient parking, contactless check-ins, sensory element to comfort children and adults and natural light.”
Derk Pronger, chief operating officer, Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills, added, “The center’s welcoming aesthetic is intended to encourage patients to seek preventive care before minor health issues become major concerns. The technology we offer on this campus provides our patients with a high level of service. The comforting environment takes that experience one step further.”
Beaumont introduced a similar outpatient experience to Macomb County’s Lenox Township last August.
Beaumont partnered with NexCore Group, a national health care real estate developer, to build the campus.
